Trojans put a string of first-half mistakes behind them to defeat Weybridge Vandals 36-14 and safeguard their place above the London Three South West relegation zone.
The Stoneham Lane side went into the lead through Joby Kochanowski following ten minutes of backs-to-the-wall defending.
Tom Stevenson made the break, taking the ball to Vandals’ 22 before the full-back bundled his way over the line.
Weybridge then took the initiative, helped by some poor Trojans’ handling, and gained two converted tries.
Just before half-time, Trojans hit back .
Young prop George Cottrell scored his first try for the club on only his second first XV appearance.
Matt Evenhand converted and Trojans went into the break two points adrift at 14-12 down.
The home side dominated the next 40 minutes though and thoroughly deserved their bonus-point victory.
Tries came from Evenhand, Johnny Smyth and Greg Ward, following a great break from scrum half Neal Haworth.
Evenhand nailed three conversions and Chris Boyd put the icing on the cake with a drop goal on the final whistle.
