Saints’ Dani Osvaldo became a record breaker when he helped Italian champions Juventus beat Cagliari 3-0 today to end the season with a best ever 102 Serie A points.

Juve had scored all three of their goals before bringing on Osvaldo, who is on-loan from Saints, in the 60th minute. Andrea Pirlo netted in the eighth minute with Fernando Llorente and Claiudio Marchisio also on target in a one-sided first half. The second half was all about warming up for the post-match celebrations with Juve rarely even trying to add a fourth.

Juventus have an option to buy Osvaldo permanently from Saints for around £15.5 million but reports in Italy indicate they probably wont take that up.

The skilful forward, who was shipped off to Italy by Saints after a training ground incident with Saints defender Jose Fonte, is quoted as saying of his Juventus team-mates: “This is a fantastic group, sincerely, I am honoured to be part of this group because it has helped me grow both as a professional and as a person.”

Saints, unlikely to recoup the money they paid for the controversial forward, will still be looking to sell him on rather that bring him back to the group in the St Mary’s dressing room.

If he is so bad, how come Juvé keep playing him. I think they will take him, I could not even guess who MP will buy. I would like yo see Demba Ba in a saints shirt but I am proberly dreaming. Bye Dani thank you for the goal against Man City true class. The rest of your stay was below avarage at best. But thanks anyway

another load of possibles and maybes.
juve probably wont take up their option but then they might.
saints are unlikely to recoup the money they paid, but then they might.
if juve take their option then we will make a profit, if not he will not be sold for a huge loss. Dani hasn't become a bad player overnight and their will be managers out their who wont worry about his `temper`.
Dani isn't happy that he was left out of the Italian world cup squad, well you on have yourself to blame Dani! If you could have been bothered to try you could have been part of something special with us and could easily have been called up.
Saints will progress without him and he wont be missed.

They may well be positioning themselves. They know we want to sell they don't have to exercise their option but that doesn't stop them making a lower offer which should be enough to buy a top centre half. Then the transfer kitty can go on a striker.

Liverpool and Manure struggling to make a decent offer for any of our many "Stars". MoPo is going nowhere either, Les Reed said we were not a selling club, Manure/Liverpool believe that now.

That's what I would do. We are not really in a bargaining position. Not making the World Cup dismissed his value. Taking a pay cut would only seem fair under the circumstances.

Dani Osvaldo is not a record breaker. He hasn't done much whilst at Juventus, only been a bit of a fringe player. Other Juventus players are the real record breakers, not Osvaldo. He is merely a leg end, not a legend. In other words, it is not his fault that Juventus are so good. That is why he hasn't been picked for the Italy squad for the World Cup in Brazil.

At Saints the bad stuff has not been Guly's fault. It is Dani Osvaldo's fault!
