SAINTS midfielder Shea Charles insisted he is "settled" at the club following his move to the south coast last summer.

Charles, who is currently on international duty with Northern Ireland, recorded an assist during their 1-1 draw with Romania in Bucharest.

His run and pass set up debutant James Reid to give Michael O'Neill's side the lead before they were pegged back by the hosts.

20 year old Charles was part of a youthful Irish line-up which included Liverpool's Conor Bradley.

Speaking to BBC Sport NI, the Saints man revealed he is happy with life with Russell Martin's side, as the club looks to push for promotion to the Premier League.

He claimed: "All is good at the moment (at Southampton). The team is playing well and pushing for promotion.

“We have a very busy schedule at the end of the year. I'm settled down south."

Charles could come up against two of his club teammates when his Northern Ireland side face Scotland at Hampden Park on Tuesday.

Forward Che Adams and midfielder Stuart Armstrong both came off the bench during Scotland's 4-0 defeat to Netherlands.

The Manchester City academy graduate has played 28 Championship games since joining Southampton in the summer.
