Teenage Saints defender Jordan Turnbull has joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old centre back will spend the 2014/15 campaign with the League One club as part of his development.

“We look forward to him returning in a year’s time as a stronger, more experienced player,” Saints technical director Martin Hunter told the club’s website.

Good competitive experience for the lad unless he spends him time sitting on the bench of course. Should come back ready to take the step up.

Good luck to Saints and to Jordan Turnbull with this loan.

When a player is loaned, it can benefit the player and both clubs. Bertrand and Taider have come to St. Marys to help Saints and their deals can be made permanent if they do well for Saints. Osvaldo is temperamental dead wood that I hope will do very well during his one season loan. I reckon he will continue his tantrums to get his own way wherever he plays. He is a liability, not a team player.

On a different subject, good luck for the future to Billy Sharp. He is a true Saint and will be worth a hundred times more to his new club than Osvaldo could ever even know how to be. Billy is a professional footballer. Fake sick note Osvaldo is an unprofessional footballer. Thanks for your goals and the rest of your contribution to Saints, Billy.

We appreciate Saints loaning Tunrnbull to us for the season and we will no doubt help his development as we did for the Spurs players we had on loan last season who have all progressed this season to other clubs in the championship. Our style of football is well suited for the young Saints players where we play football on the floor and from the back which is why your club have allowed Turnbull to be loaned to us we also hope we can get Stephens on loan as well as the 10 games he had for us last season he was superb and is going to be a very good player and Koeman we understand also like the way he plays.
Its a pity idiots like Greg Dyke cant see that young players put out to the right lower league clubs can help there development as opposed to him proposing a new league.
Good luck Saints for the season and i think you will surprise a few teams this season as you did last year despite a few players leaving.
