Saints will host Bayer Leverkusen in their final pre-season friendly this summer.
The German club, who finished fourth in the Bundesliga last term, will visit St Mary's on Saturday, August 9 (kick-off 5pm).
The game will represent Saints' only home friendly of the summer, as is their tradition.
Games against Swindon, Bournemouth and Brighton are already lined up in July, while the club will soon announce another fixture against a European side away from home.
Executive director Les Reed said of the Leverkusen match: “We’re hoping that’ll be a bit of a festival, presentation game where the fans will get the chance to see the new players that we’ve brought in and welcome the new manager and any new coaching staff, and hopefully kick off the season with a really upbeat atmosphere at St Mary’s.”
