Rickie Lambert's move to Liverpool looks set to be confirmed on Monday, after the striker revealed he passed a medical this morning.
The 32-year-old is due to sign a two-year contract at the club he supports, with the Reds paying up to £5m, plus add-ons.
Lambert, who travelled to Liverpool this morning, said: "The medical went well, but I can't say anything.
"There's a lot of emotions as you can imagine."
The England forward, who was an unused substitute in last night's 3-0 World Cup warm-up win against Peru at Wembley, added: "I'll speak properly about it hopefully shortly, but I can't say anything at the moment.
"It's been a crazy couple of years to be honest, and it looks like it's carrying on.
"Hopefully I will be able to speak properly on Monday."
