SHE is the daughter of a Saints legend and is hoping to make her mark in the modelling industry.

Jodie Case, the daughter of ex-captain Jimmy, has never modelled before but she has now been shortlisted for the finals of a top competition.

The 28-year-old legal secretary is among the finalists in the Top Model UK competition, and hopes to be crowned overall winner at a glitzy ceremony at London’s Hilton Metropole hotel on April 5.

Jodie, from Otterbourne, has been shortlisted in the over-25 category and could be named as overall winner, first or second runner-up, or winner of the personal style, photographic and skin beauty awards.

And although most awards will be decided by a panel of judges, there will also be an award voted for by the public.

Jodie said: “It has only been recently that I have thought about challenging myself and trying something new, so I decided to send some pictures to different modelling agencies and competitions.

“I have not done any modelling or taken part in any competitions previously, so this is my first experience of the modelling world and being up against critique about my looks.

“To win any of the titles would be a great personal achievement, having not done anything like this before and it could possibly open doors for me for modelling work in the future.”

Describing herself as a “home person”, she says she enjoys walking her dogs and looking after her nine chickens.

Her dad became a Saints legend after becoming Lawrie McMenemy’s last signing for the club in 1985.

Over his six years at The Dell he made 216 appearances and was club captain, becoming a firm favourite among fans.

Jodie added: “My dad would always support me in my life decisions, and I know he is very proud of me.”
