A NURSERY in Basingstoke is searching for adults who attended 21 years ago to help celebrate its birthday.

Cornerstone Nurseries wants to find residents who attended the nursery located in Priestly Road in 2002.

The nursery has been providing childcare in Basingstoke for 21 years and staff would now love to hear stories and see photos from families who attended in their opening year as a way to celebrate 21 years of service.

Last year on the nursery's 20th birthday the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane Cllr Paul Miller joined the deputy manager Emma Mckay, business owner Alasdair Mcpherson and operations director Cheryl Standing, along with their team and the managers from their sister Nursery Cornerstone Miss Muffet to celebrate the occasion with the children.

Cheryl previously said: "Watching the nursery develop over the last 20 years has been a wonderful experience and we still to this day have contact with some of our children from 2002.

"It’s been a pleasure to care for the children of so many wonderful Basingstoke families over the years and we hope to continue to do so for many years to come as the nursery group grows from strength to strength."

Cornerstone Day Nursery opened in 2002 and re-registered under new ownership in 2004. The nursery employs 40 members of staff and currently provides funded early education for two, three, and four-year-old children.

The nursery's official birthday is on March 19. A spokesperson from the nursery said staff hope to create a display with the memories or post them on social media.

Anyone who attended the nursery in 2002 is encouraged to email c.hewlett.marketing@gmail.com or contact them via their Facebook page Cornerstone Nurseries.
