LODDON Vale indoor bowler Steve Shaw has reach the National Singles final which is being held in Nottingham on Saturday and his first opponent is Wayne Willgress from Norfolk.
Loddon men finished their season on a high with a superb win against Riverside from Winchester 99-57 in the Bramley League.
The teams were skipped by Gary Lovett, Ashley Nethercliffe, Shaw and Geoff Green.
This win places them second in the league and they win the Trisham Trophy.
The last friendly of the season also saw a very good win against East Dorset, Christchurch, 121-59.
The teams were skipped by Ian Laming, Ian Gourlay, Martin Wells, Adrian Bush, Tom Regan-Atkins and Alan Tait.
Alice Lovett was in the National under-18 final which took place at Church Gresley in Derbyshire.
The group was divided into groups for a round robin competition and Lovett finished second in her group, behind the eventual winner, which was a great achievement.
Following this Lovett has been selected to attend Rugby IBC at the end of April for an under-18 England Trial.
Another Loddon Vale junior Zach Miller has also been selected for an England trial.
