LODDON Vale Indoor Bowls Club, based on the Leisure Park in Basingstoke, hosted a disability bowls tournament with clubs from the South and West counties on the first Sunday of March.

THE Ladies of Loddon Vale​ enjoyed a winning double last weekend.

LODDON Vale Indoor Bowling Club teenage star Alice Lovett had won through to the National Under-25 finals which take place at Spalding on the weekend of January 25/26 next year.

LODDON Vale indoor bowler Steve Shaw has reach the National Singles final which is being held in Nottingham on Saturday and his first opponent is Wayne Willgress from Norfolk.

LODDON Vale men needed good wins from their final three Bramley league games to finish near the top. It started well with a good win against Five Rivers 77-52. Unfortunately the second game against East Dorset did not get the desired result with a final score of 64-83. Hopes are now resting on getting a good result in the final game against Riverside on 23 March.

IT HAS been very busy for the Loddon Vale players.

TWO of the Loddon Vale juniors qualified for the final of the English Bowls Youth Development Scheme, which was held at Melton Mowbray.

LODDON Vale men enjoyed a comfortable 89-63 victory over East Dorset in the Denny Plate.
