TWO of the Loddon Vale juniors qualified for the final of the English Bowls Youth Development Scheme, which was held at Melton Mowbray.
Ashley Nethercliffe won three of the four titles and was the senior overall champion. Alice Lovett competed in the junior section.
The men's teams have been having a hard time in their competitions. In the Wessex, Bramley and the Denny Plate competitions they have played Chawton Park and lost all three games.
The ladies team in the Yetton Plate competition travelled to the Isle of Wight for the second round and were narrowly beaten by two shots.
The friendly against Chawton Park was very close fought and Loddon Vale were triumphant, albeit by just three shots. Top rink was skipped by Alan Tait.
London Welsh were the second team to play Loddon Vale in a friendly, which Loddon won by 130-82.
Top rink was skipped by Ian Laming.
