A BASINGSTOKE pub is hosting a farewell party before the landlord's departure next week.
The team behind The Rising Sun on Hill have thanked customers for all their support over the years.
It dates back to 1822, and remains a staple of the Basingstoke pub scene.

The team, Simon, Sophie, Macey and Kiara, have confirmed they will be leaving the boozer on Wednesday, February 7.
On Facebook, the team wrote: "It is with great sadness that we will be leaving the Rising Sun. We would like to thank everyone for your kindness, support and for all the memories we have made along the way.
"We wish everyone good health and all the best for the future and once again Thank you."
Many regulars have wished the team well in their new ventures in the comments.
This comes just a few days after the closure of Laarsen's, which remains shut until further notice when a new landlord can take over.
A farewell party will be held from 7pm at the Rising Sun on Saturday, Feburary 3.
