Residents at a care home near Hook recently had a surprise visit from two friendly penguins.

On Thursday, January 4, residents at Rowan Lodge Care Home in Newnham welcomed the surprise visit, getting an opportunity to hold and pet the two adorable Humboldt penguins, Pringle and Widget, as they did their rounds of the care home.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the unique visit as one of many events the care home puts on.

Some other events in recent times include a Phantom of the Opera-themed evening to Elvis tribute acts, day trips out and now a visit from two real penguins.
