A DANCE school in Basingstoke rocked out at major US sporting event.

Eight dancers from the Basingstoke Academy of Dancing (BAD) performed at the half-time show for the American football team the Miami Dolphins, which saw the Tennessee Titans beat the Dolphins 28-27.

Dancers from BAD, along with several other dance schools in the UK, including Aimee’s Dance Academy in Poole, The Studio in Chislehurst and First Position School of Dance in Bournemouth performed at the game during half-time.

“They got to do what they love, dancing obviously, along with doing it all in Miami and staying on a beautiful resort on Hollywood beach. International travel as a dancer for this age group is just incredible.

“They got to rehearse on the beach and at the Miami Dolphins training ground with the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders which they were totally awed by.

“As their teacher, I was extremely proud of them all and am so pleased that they will have these memories with them for the rest of their lives.

“These students and more will be working with Pro Excel again in March 2024 at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium for the Saracens vs Harlequins showdown.”
