BASINGSTOKE Comic Con proved a hit with fans, as thousands of people from all over the world turned up to meet their favourite celebrities, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan and David Tennant.

Here are some of the best costumes we saw on Sunday, May 21.

Sean, 31, and Grace, 23 from Fareham. It was their first comic con together but Sean has worked one before as a Dalek. Basingstoke Gazette: Sean and Grace from Fareham

David Lumburg travelled from Essex, he runs his own fan events for Stargate and Babylon 5.

He said: "It has been good, I think it is absolutely fantastic for its first comic con, they have done a really good job.

The Quilter family, Rachel, Quilter and their three-year-old Dana, enjoyed the event. 

Rachel and Tony met at a charity event for Autism All Stars dressed as the Doctor and his companion, this was little Dana's first-ever comic con. 

"It's because of David Tennant we met, and now we're married and have a daughter. Dana is loving it - she loves the Daleks. When we met David she ran to him with her arms up and he picked her up for the photo. When we left she waved 'bye doctor'."Basingstoke Gazette: Rachel, Tony and Dana Quilter

Jethro and Neon live in Basingstoke, it was Neon's first ever comic con and he won the costume competition. He kept things humble and said: "I think I deserved to win it."Basingstoke Gazette: Neon and Jethro

Taylor Birkett and Mark Rossiter both live in Basingstoke, they said: "It's absolutely amazing, especially for the first comic con here."
