A BASINGSTOKE salon which aims to give customers the "most luxurious and unique visit possible" will celebrate its 18th birthday next week.

Since first opening the Topiary Salon in Old Basing in 2004 Laura Haystaff, who runs the salon alongside her husband, has pampered thousands of people to help them feel their best.

It recently received an alcohol license, so that customers can now be served and sold alcholic drinks during their treatments.

Along the way Laura has had to make some difficult decisions to ensure her business could survice the Covid pandemic and the recent cost-of-living crisis, such as relinquishing her lease on premises at Kingsclere Road in Basingstoke.

However, by making these decisions Laura has been able to save the jobs of her team and secure the future of her salon.

Laura, 40, said: "We believe in what we've got and our amazing team - we are a family. The Basingstoke community as a whole is great, we love working with local supplies, businesses and solicitors.

"Throughout these years I have just been trying to keep my head down to improve peoples experience at the salon and look outside the box."

The salon is made up of a team of nine, who are both hairdressers and session stylists who have worked backstage at events such as European Fashion week. There are also beauty treatments available from their qualified beauty therapists.

To celebrate the salons 18th birthday on Wednesday, October 12, Laura has been asking their social media followers to upload a photo of them on their 18th birthday (or taken in that year) to the competition post or on Instagram and tag them to be in with a chance to win £100 worth of treatments at The Topiary Salon.
