I have been running a kilometre per day of June. So I started on day one with 1km. It’s now day 23 and today I ran 23km. Over the month I will have run 465km.

And not being a runner this is proving tougher than I could have imagined. I’m doing this to raise money to buy a charity a minibus to help refugees get out of Ukraine.

I am moved by the terrible war in Ukraine and want to do a tiny thing to help. If I can raise £10k it will pay for a new minibus to help transport refugees out of Ukraine to safety and also take supplies into the country.

So far, circa 368,000 women and children have already crossed the border from Ukraine into neighbouring countries such as Poland and Hungary, but this is just the beginning.

Many more thousands, even millions (estimated to reach 4 million) will become refugees as the situation continues to worsen.

RefugEase is already working on the ground delivering life-saving aid to the Ukrainian border, prioritising wherever is the greatest human need.A new minibus will mean we can help more people to safety.

This war is not going to stop soon and more and more people will need help as the days, weeks and months roll on. Please think about how you would want this help if we were in this situation.
