THE Pizza Hut restaurant in Basingstoke’s major shopping centre will close at the end of this month, it has been confirmed.

The restaurant in Festival Place will close later this month on Saturday, May 28.

A spokesperson for Pizza Hut Restaurants said: “Like many hospitality businesses, Pizza Hut Restaurants has faced disruption due to the pandemic. We are saddened by the closure of our Festival Place Restaurant, Basingstoke, however this was beyond our control.

“Wherever possible we always try to redeploy our team members to other Pizza Hut Restaurants in order to minimise the impact to our workforce. You can continue to enjoy Pizza Hut at our Restaurant at The Point, Bracknell.”

Pizza Hut is an American multinational restaurant chain and international franchise founded in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas by Dan and Frank Carney.

They serve their signature pan pizza and other dishes including pasta, breadsticks and desserts.
