TWO cast members have been confirmed for this year’s Christmas pantomime, which will be Cinderella.

Anvil Arts and UK Productions are thrilled to announce that taking on the role of Fairy Godmother in this Christmas’ traditional pantomime will be ‘the lovely’ Debbie McGee.

Debbie is best known for working with her husband, the late Paul Daniels, in the longest running TV magic show in the world The Paul Daniels Magic Show, and, in 2017, reaching the final in the hit BBC 1 show Strictly Come Dancing, partnering Giovanni Pernice.

Debbie is also known locally for her long-running Sunday show on BBC Radio Berkshire, which she hosted for 12 years.

Also back by popular demand and joining Debbie is The Basil Brush Show’s Chris Pizzey.

Chris is all set to bring plenty of mayhem and gags in his role of Buttons.

Chris Pizzey is a British actor and comedian from London, he is best known for playing Mr. Stephen in the CBBC series The Basil Brush Show and has become a pantomime favourite after his played Louis La Plonk in last years Beauty and the Beast show.

Poor Cinderella works hard day and night while her spiteful ugly sisters do nothing. But when she meets her Fairy Godmother, her life starts to change in all sorts of wonderful ways and the pantomime will tell this wonderful story to bring some Christmas magic the town.

With laugh out loud jokes, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes, and two gorgeous Shetland ponies, residents are invited to join Cinders and make their dreams come true at The Anvil.

Tickets are on sale now for this ultimate rags to riches story. Dig out your best frock and polish your glass slippers, the clock is ticking, residents are encouraged to book their seats now for this spectacular family pantomime – sponsored by the Gazette.
