A FROZEN food specialised is preparing to open a new store in Winklebury.

The new Farmfoods store is expected to take on the former Robinson’s Equestrian site in Winklebury Way, Basingstoke.

This is the second major retailer to invest into Winklebury which saw Aldi opening its doors in September 2019.

The shop is expected to open on Friday, May 13.

A spokesperson from Farmfoods said: "I'm delighted to hear that the news of Farmfoods opening in Basingstoke has been well received amongst the local community.

"I can confirm our shop on Winklebury Way will open at 8am on Friday, 13th May.

"The shop will be one of the largest in our estate of nearly 340 sites and will offer our full range of branded and own-brand products including frozen food, groceries, chilled foods, bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables along with a range of household items.

"The location benefits from a large free customer car park and will be open 7 days a week. Opening hours will be 8am-10pm Monday-Friday; 8am-8pm Saturday; 10am- 4pm Sunday.

"Customers can visit farmfoods.co.uk to sign up to receive occasional special offers, discounts and exclusive deals. After signing up they will also be emailed some personal money-off vouchers for extra savings on their shopping.

"We are looking forward to welcoming customers next month."
