A 48-YEAR-OLD man was approached by two men on e-scooters who threatened him and demanded he give them money.

The incident took place on Tuesday, April 5 on the path that links Fort Hill with Blackthorn Way in Basingstoke.

Although the men demanded money, nothing was taken.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police, said: “We appreciate this was some time ago, but we want to know if anyone has information about a robbery in Winklebury.

“It took place at around 7.45pm on Tuesday 5 April, on the path that links Fort Hill with Blackthorn Way.

“A 48-year-old man was approached by two young men riding e-scooters. They threatened him and asked for money, but left when he refused to hand anything over.

“Nothing was taken and no injuries were reported.

“Both suspects were described as being aged between 17 and 20 years of age.”

The first suspect is described as:

  •  Black
  • 5ft 10in tall
  • Of medium build
  •  Wearing a black scarf, navy blue bandana over his head, black tracksuit bottoms and a black hooded jumper

The second suspect is described as:

  •  White
  •  5ft 6ins tall
  • Of stocky build
  • Wearing a white scarf covering his face and a black bandana over his head, grey tracksuit bottoms and a grey jumper
  • Police believe that both suspects were carrying small bags

Officers have been making enquiries and are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
