A BASINGSTOKE photographer claims to have put the town “on the map” after his picture appeared on national television.

Darren Burton, a member of the Basingstoke Gazette Camera Club, had his photograph of a sunset over the town feature on ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh.
Posting to the club’s Facebook page, he said: “I’ve made it... 8 seconds of fame lol.”
He added: “Basingstoke nature on the map.”
The stunning image shows a seed head in front of a sunset.
