The new shop has been transformed inside to an authentic Turkish restaurant.
Its selection of hot starters includes falafel and houmous, grilled Anatolian sucuk (a fermented grilled sausage) and Jalapeno cream cheese.
Main courses include gourmet burgers, salads, and grills, such as doner and shish kebabs.
It also sells a selection of beers and wines.
Islam Gul, manager of the new restaurant, said: “We thought it’s something Basingstoke needs.”
He said the venue was bought 18 months ago after selling the Tidworth branch and has undergone a complete refurbishment both inside and out.
The manager added: “It’s taken a while to do the refurbishment so we officially opened on Saturday. It’s been brilliant. What we do is everything is cooked in a traditional way, it’s authentic to Turkey and we do barbecue on an open fire.”
Islam, who moved to England from Turkey 20 years ago, said Daddy BBQ has given a jobs boost to the area with five people employed and another five set to join the team soon as delivery drivers.
The shop will be open seven days a week from 12pm to 11pm, with local delivery offered up to five miles away.
