Emergency services have been called to the town centre following an incident this evening.
A Gazette reporter at the scene in Churchill Way West at the Victory Roundabout says that police, paramedics and a fire crews are all in attendance. He added that a HGV is involved. As a result the road is closed between Victory and Thornycroft roundabouts. Eastbound is still open.
Both Hampshire Constabulary and Hampshire Fire and Rescue have been contacted for comment, but it appears the incident happened at about 6pm on Tuesday.
