A moped driver was taken to hospital yesterday evening following a crash involving a lorry.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were all called to Churchill Way West at the Victory Roundabout on Tuesday. This resulted in the road being closed for several hours.
This morning, a spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed the severity of the crash.
"The incident took place at 5.37pm yesterday evening on May 19," she said.
"A moped was travelling Westbound on Churchill Way West when it was in collision with a Scania lorry, close to the Victory Roundabout.
"The moped driver, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury."
