UPDATE: A driver has been arrested and is under investigation. Police are appealing for witnesses.
EMERGENCY services were called to a serious road traffic collision on the Black Dam roundabout in Basingstoke on Friday night at rush hour.
The accident happened shortly after 6.15pm on the A339 northbound between junction 6 of the M3.
Witnesses reported heavy traffic in the area for up to two hours after the accident.
One driver said: "It looked like a number of people were involved. There are three fire engines at the scene and three police motorbikes."
PC James Hall, of the roads policing unit, said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a two-vehicle collision.
"Minor injuries were sustained. One of the drivers has been arrested and is under investigation.
"It was a busy time of day when the incident happened. We are appealing for witnesses to make contact with us by calling the 101 number, quoting crime reference number 44190355035."
