In what may be general election year, it is hard to avoid talking about national politics - with the looming threat of a dramatic change of government.

Few of the main party leaders have done much to deserve our vote. Whether it's the totally unacceptable entry into our country through illegal immigration, or the atrocious mishandling of the Post Office scandal, we are currently looking down a dark tunnel, if we continue to fall for tribal voting. As each day passes, there is very little evidence that anything will change for the better.

In trying to cling on to power, the best the Conservatives can say is "a vote for Reform is a vote for Labour". That is undoubtedly possible - but there is a far better way out of the mire that we find ourselves in. If existing Conservative MPs offer to stand down in order in favour of the Reform candidate, the result could be epoch-making.

We wait to see the response of our incumbent MP.
