BASINGSTOKE Town Ladies put struggling Aldershot Town Ladies to the sword on Sunday, winning 7-0 to maintain their grip on third place in the Southern League Premier Division.
Josette Pearmine opened the scoring inside the first minute and Naomi Greene doubled the lead soon after, finding the net via the inside of the post. Lianne Hill scored from a corner to put visiting Basingstoke three goals up at half-time.
Justine Mosley scored twice early in the second half to put the game beyond doubt, while further goals from Pearmine and Katie Randell completed an easy afternoon.
Basingstoke are away again this weekend, travelling to fifth-placed Bracknell Town.
The reserves completed their league campaign in defeat, going down 4-2 to visiting Horndean Ladies. Becky Lee and Sophie Al-Noah were the Basingstoke scorers.
They sit third in the table but the two teams immediately below them are still to face one another.
If that game ends in a draw, Town will finish fifth, but if there is a winner, then they will end the season in fourth place.
