FOUR points from their next two away games is the target Basingstoke Town manager Terry Brown has set his players for their two away games in the Southern League Premier Division.

The Dragons are on the road to Hitchin on Saturday and then on Tuesday night they travel at King’s Langley.

Town are currently 17th in the table and Hitchin are one place above them and are unbeaten at their Top Field ground.

King’s Langley have yet to win at home in the league and are just above the relegation zone.

Brown will be without left back Tamille Roache after he picked up a hamstring injury in the FA Cup win and this will rule him out for at least six weeks.

Centre half Mark Hastings is set to play in an under-21 game tonight, so could figure in the next two game, and the boss is hopeful captain David Ray will be back from injury.

Leading goal scorer George Hallahan, who scored a hat-trick in FA Cup win, picked up a slight hamstring injury in training on Monday, so will face a fitness test later in the week.

Fellow striker Romone Rose, did not play in the FA Cup, as parent club Wealdstone did not want him cup tied, but he is back in the squad this week.

Brown said: “I have a selection dilemma which is nice. We have two games this week. so it will give me a chance to use a few players. I think we can pick up four points from these two games that is what I aiming for.”

Confidence in the camp is good after Town’s excellent 4-0 win in the FA Cup and the Dragons have been drawn at home to newly promoted Hungerford Town in the next round.

The game against the National League South side will take place on Saturday September 17.

Brown said: “If I am honest I would have liked a team from a league below us.

"I think we have managed to draw one of the toughest teams in competition at this stage. They impressed when I saw them in pre-season.”
