BASINGSTOKE Town will be looking to make it hat-trick of wins when they travel to the Freebets.co.uk Stadium on Saturday to face mid table Wealdstone.

The Dragons roared to victory at the weekend as they beat Maidenhead United and then followed that up success in the Hampshire Senior Cup on Tuesday night. over Horndean The wins snapped a recent losing streak for Town try to haul themselves away from the National League South drop zone.

They are currently five points from safety, but they will take heart from the previous two performances.

Town boss Michael Gilkes said: “Against Maidenhead I felt we deserved our win as we were the better team. They made it tough for us when they went down to 10 men, but we were able to find away to get the winning goal.

Liam Enver-Marum was outstanding he scored a great goal and their equaliser was a fantastic strike, so I have complains from the defence which I felt played well."

Talking about the win over Horndean, Gilkes said: " We were the better team from start to finish, which you would expect as we play at much higher level than Horndean.

"I felt we scored some great goals and in the end fitness really told. We are now in the semi-finals which is something to look forward.

Gilkes will have nearly a full squad to pick from for the trip to Wealdstone, with Jamie Brown and Harrison Gilkes still ruled out due to injury, while Simon Dunn is still doubtful.

The London side are unbeaten in their last five games and won last Saturday against Weston-super-Mare.

Gilkes said: "We know what we have to do on Saturday and that is to get three points.

"We have created a lot of chances in the last two games. So we will go there and look to do the same."
