TOTALLY Tennis hosted the annual Secondary Schools Tournament at the indoor centre in the War Memorial Park, organised by Madeliene Probyn and run by coaches Danny Fowkes and Ben Jubin.

Inspired by the action at SW19, the players from Brighton Hill Community School, The Costello School and Robert May’s School played in singles and doubles events.

The under-13 girls’ singles winner was Helena Mason from Robert May’s and Hannah Sharir from Costello was runner-up.

Robert May’s had a second girls’ singles champion in the under-16 event, with Jemma Godleman taking the title for her school and teammate Antonia McPhee made it a double for the school when she finished as runner-up.

Totally Tennis Performance player Liam Hignett won the under-13 boys’ singles title for Robert May’s and Brighton Hill’s Travis Clayton was runner-up.

Costello’s Luke Watts won the boys’ under-16 singles title with Robert May’s’ Elliott Everson in second place.

The under-16 girls’ doubles saw a clean sweep for Robert May’s with Emily Merrit partnered by Godleman the winners and again McPhee the runner-up along with partner Vicky Waterfield.

The boys’ under-16 doubles was won by Charlie Flynn and Everson from Robert May’s as they beat Costello’s Andy Grant and Jo Blewitt.
