ED SMITH scored a hat-trick of tries as Tadley RFC cruised to a 59-0 success at Wheatley which kept them fourth in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Premier.

Smith wasted no time in opening the scoring as he went over in the opening minute and Craig Raymond added another try to make it 14-0.

By half-time Tadley led 24-0 after number eight Luke Titley and Garath Cripps-Jones also went over for scores.

The visitors continued to dominate after the break in Oxfordshire as Cripps-Jones went over again along with Cahrlie Cox and Smith to extend the lead to 45-0.

It was left to half back Chris Dennison and Smith to complete the rout.

Tadley have a tough finish to the year when third placed Abingdon are the visitors on Saturday.

Aldermaston chalked up their first win of the season in the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Championship basement battle.

The Berkshire enjoyed an excellent 15-5 victory over visiting Oxford and this week they face a trip to leaders Phoenix.

Chineham's recent winning streak in Hampshire One came to and end as they lost 20-0 at Fareham Heathens.

The Lions are at home to the Isle of Wight this weekend.

In Hampshire Two, Overton lost 35-5 at Ventnor and Kingsclere who did not travel to Romsey last weekend. Both sides are back in action next year.
