MATCHDAY LIVE - 'Stoke v Barking
This live event has finished
- FULL-TIME - 'Stoke 64-12 Barking
- 'Stoke run in 10 tries to demolish basement side Barking and move nine points clear of relegation zone.
- Tim Richards and Jobi Kochanowski both score twice, with Ryan Davis, Chris Kiernan, Freddie Gleadowe, Glenn Magee and David Byett also on the scoresheet.
That's all from me today. I'll be back on live duty on Tuesday, when Basingstoke Town host Eastbourne Borough.
'Stoke now have a nine-point cushion to the bottom three as Barnes lost 66-10 to Old Elthamians. A good day all-round.
Reading also drew 1-1, away at Brighton, Royston Drenthe levelling in the second half. Southampton won 1-0 at Crystal Palace thanks to Jay Rodriguez's goal.
Basingstoke Town ended up drawing 1-1 at Dover. A great result considering it was their third match in five days, but they led for a long spell and Dover needed a great save from their goalkeeper to earn a point in the dying seconds.
Apologies for the abrupt ending, we were interrupted by James' daughter. Never work with kids.
A comfortable victory for the hosts, who were on top from the moment they got their opening try. Barking were very poor.
Reaction to follow.
'Stoke 64-12 Barking
80+2 - Almost a hat-trick for Richards, but he is taken in to touch just short after great play from Byett and Gleadowe.
Normal time is up. Let's see how long the referee prolongs Barking's agony.
'Stoke 64-12 Barking - David Byett (75)
Another simple chance taken.
'Stoke 62-12 Barking - Jobi Kochanowski (74)
The ball pops out of the back of the scrum but Wilkinson is on hand to pick up and feed JOBI KOCHANOWSKI, who has a simple run-in. There a spot of bother in the aftermath, with Davis obviously involved.
73 - Big push from a five-metre scrum and the hosts have a penalty. They go for another scrum and the same thing happens. Must be close to a penalty-try.
72 - 'Stoke are camped in the Barking 22, but a knock-on stops them in their tracks.
'Stoke 57-12 Barking - David Byett (67)
There space on the left wing for DAVID BYETT to exploit and he extracts himself from a tackle before forcing his way over. He can't convert his own score though.
'Stoke 52-12 Barking - David Byett (65)
A simpler kick for Byett, and he makes no mistake.
'Stoke 50-12 Barking - Glenn Magee (64)
Prop GLENN MAGEE collects a short pass to break the defensive line before running through full-back Nathan Barham to touch down under the posts.
'Stoke 45-12 Barking - David Byett (62)
It's a tricky conversion from out wide, but stand-in kicker Byett makes it.
'Stoke 43-12 Barking - Tim Richards (60)
That's a lovely try. Byett puts in a clever chip from his own 22 to release Gleadowe, who in turn plays a clever pass to put TIM RICHARDS clear to score his second try of the day.
Davies has been replaced by Byett, who lines up at fly-half.
57 - 'Stoke disrupt the scrum and get the ball away, with a penalty on the 22 further relieving the pressure. There seems to be a break on, but the hosts are outnumbered and the ball is turned over.
55 - Billy Driver breaks several challenges to set up a dangerous Barking attack. They are stopped just short of the line but will get the put-in at a five-metre scrum.
Bit of a midfield battle at the moment, but Basingstoke are in control.
'Stoke 38-12 Barking - Oliver Forrest (48)
The hosts give away a penalty in front of the posts inside the 22. Forrest kicks it. Not a lot of ambition from the visitors.
'Stoke 38-9 Barking - Matt Guilfoyle (45)
MATT GUILFOYLE gets free down the left wing, cuts inside the last defender and touches down. Davies surprisingly misses the conversion.
'Stoke 33-9 Barking - Adam Davies (44)
Davies slots the extras.
'Stoke 31-9 Barking - Jobi Kochanowski (43)
A great inside hand-off from Davies puts full-back JOBI KOCHANOWSKI in from close range.
Barking get the second half started. 'Stoke will have the wind behind them from now on.
In the football, Basingstoke Town lead 1-0 at Dover through a Louie Soares goal, Reading are 1-0 down at Brighton thanks to an own-goal and Southampton lead Crystal Palace 1-0, Rickie Lambert finding the net.
Not exactly according to plan but Basingstoke are very much on top. That first try changed the game in their favour, but their tackling needs to be a bit better.
'Stoke 26-9 Barking
'Stoke 26-9 Barking - Oliver Forrest (40)
Another long-range kick dissects the posts.
We are into added time at the end of the first half.
'Stoke 26-6 Barking - Oliver Forrest (34)
Basingstoke are penalised at the ruck and Forrest kicks a penalty from almost halfway.
'Stoke 26-3 Barking - Adam Davies (32)
Another simple conversion for the home fly-half.
'Stoke 24-3 Barking - Freddie Gleadowe (32)
That's the four-try bonus point wrapped up, and surely 'Stoke are well on their way to maximum points today.
The pack wins a scrum against the head and Davies finds FREDDIE GLEADOWE's straight run.
The defence parts like the Red Sea and Gleadowe touches down under the posts.
27 - The hosts are rampant, but Kiernan can't hold on to that pass in the 22 and has to make an important tackle on Jumar to prevent a breakaway.
26 - David Byett has come on as a replacement for Matt Guilfoyle in the centres.
'Stoke 19-3 Barking - Chris Kiernan (25)
A long spell of pressure in the Barking 22 eventually results in CHRIS KIERNAN forcing his way over from close range. Davies misses the tricky conversion.
22 - It's all 'Stoke now, with Richards only denied a certain try by the referee's whistle for a forward pass.
'Stoke 14-3 Barking - Adam Davies (19)
Another simple conversion for Davies.
'Stoke 12-3 Barking - Ryan Davis (18)
A good break from No 8 RYAN DAVIS on halfway sets Basingstoke away and after a couple of phases, the big man takes Guy Wilkinson's hand-off and charges through a gaping hole in the Barking defence to score.
16 - A scuffle between Basingstoke hooker Jon Bird and Barking scrum-half Joe Cook, but the referee decides not to take any action.
14 - A good break from Freddie Gleadowe has Barking on the back foot, but the ball is lost.
'Stoke 7-3 Barking - Adam Davies (12)
Davies kicks the simplest of conversions.
'Stoke 5-3 Barking - Tim Richards (12)
That's come against the run of play. Visiting fly-half Forrest attempts a looping pass out to winger Lemack Jumar on the 'Stoke 10-metre line but TIM RICHARDS intercepts and gallops in to score under the posts.
8 - Sadly, the initiative is lost as Davies misplaces a pass and Barking turn the ball over.
It's been a scrappy affair so far. 'Stoke have been unable to take charge. However, they do have a lineout in the opposition 22 after winning a penalty.
4 - That's more like it. A great break from Basingstoke's Gavin Dampies, who is eventually forced into touch deep in Barking territory.
'Stoke 0-3 Barking - Oliver Forrest (2)
A good start from the visitors and fly-half Forrest takes the opportunity to kick a drop-goal from just outside the 22.
Adam Davies gets us under way.
The players make their way onto the field. Kick-off now just seconds away.
That's a shame. Paul Hogan has been beaten 9-8 by Mark Webster in the Coral UK Open darts. Still, a great couple of days for the Buckskin man.

Paul Hogan's match in Minehead has gone to a deciding leg.
Right, let's have a look at how the land lies ahead of the match.
Basingstoke are fourth from bottom, four points but just one place above the relegation zone after Barnes pulled off a shock result by beating Dorking last week.
Barking are rock bottom and haven't won a single game this season. 'Stoke are heavy favourites, but there are not certainties in sport.
Buckskin's Paul Hogan is currently in action in the fourth round of the Coral UK Open darts in Minehead.
He beat three-time world champion John Part 5-0 and Dutch youngster Benito van de Pas 9-3 yesterday.
Today, he is taking on another former world champion in Mark Webster in the last 32. Hogan currently leads 7-6 in the best of 17-leg match.
Basingstoke: J Kochanowski; Dampies, Gleadowe, Guilfoyle, Richards; Davies, Wilkinson; Magee, Bird, Coghlan, Hore, Scott, R Kochanowski, Kiernan, Davis. Reps: Turner, Clark, Byett.
Barking: Barham; Namala, Driver, Stannard, Jumar; Forrest, Cook; Clarke, Anderson, Hughes, Fox, Hayes, Peasenall, Touma, Badcock. Reps: R Gardner, Bowles, C Gardner.
It's a strong-looking Basingstoke team, with most of the big-hitters involved. The exception is perhaps Karl Buttle, but fly-half Adam Davies' inclusion is a real boost for the hosts.
There plenty of football taking place this afternoon.
Basingstoke Town have made the long trip to Dover in the Conference South, while Reading are away at Brighton in the Championship.
Southampton are also on the road, travelling to Crystal Palace. Live coverage of that game can be found by clicking here.
I'll do my best to keep you up to date with all three games.
It's a bright, sunny day in Basingstoke. There is a bit of wind but it shouldn't be too much of a factor. The pitch looks a bit bereft of grass in places, but it's plenty dry enough.
Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage of Basingstoke RFC v Barking at Down Grange.
It's a big day in 'Stoke's battle for survival in National League Three London. Win against the division's bottom side and they could put daylight between themselves and the bottom three, lose and a nervous end to the season lies in store.
