Hampshire's Brad Wheal has been denied a place at the 2019 World Cup with Scotland after a cruel Duckworth-Lewis defeat against the West Indies.
Scotland lost by five runs on the DLS method after rain ended the ICC World Cup qualifying decider in Harare this afternoon.
The West Indies were bowled out for 198 and the game was in the balance when the rain arrived with Scotland 125-5, needing 74 from the last 14.4 over.
Wheal took 3-43, including the scalp of West Indies top scorer Evin Lewis (66), and ended the Windies' innings when he yorked Keemo Paul for five.
He finished the tournament with 12 wickets at just 16 apiece from six matches.
