TWO north Hampshire drivers enjoyed success at the latest Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb.
The A licence holders’ road-going specialist production class saw an emphatic win for Piers Thynne from Hartley Wintney in his 1.3 supercharged Westfield Megabusa.
Basingstoke’s Graham Beale was another clear class winner, Beale taking the up-to-2000cc marque sports car class in his 1.8 Ginetta G20 and moving to third overall in the Gurston Championship.
The next event at Gurston Down is a British Hillclimb Championship event on the weekend of August 29 and 30, where the cream of the country’s speed hillclimb drivers and cars will put on a show of the very best motorsport action against the clock.
