SOUTH Warnborough’s Ollie Hancock made it three podiums in as many British GT Championship finishes, after a second place for the FF Corse squad in the season finale at Donington Park.
The 27-year-old has only made sporadic appearances in the series over the last three years.
Hancock’s latest success came at the wheel of a Ferrari 458 Italia with Gary Eastwood, after he received a late call-up to drive at Donington.
The Hampshire driver took over at the halfway stage of the two-hour race in third place, behind leader Michael Caine’s Aston Martin and Phil Keen’s Porsche.
Keen went on to win the race with Hancock passing Caine with an eye-catching move around the outside at the fast Craner Curves to claim second place.
After the race, Hancock said: “It was great to be back racing in British GT again, even if I had to wait until the final round of the season.
“I’ve never finished a British GT race outside of the podium places, and to do it in three completely different cars means a lot, to me.”
