BEECHDOWN A were the big point scorers in the Basingstoke and District Badminton League Ladies 4 League, with 11 points from two matches taking them to the top of the table.

However, with a narrow one point lead over rivals Viking A and having played two games more their stay at the top may not be too long. Beechdown began with a 6-0 defeat of their B team colleagues who remain winless at the foot of the table.

This enabled Beechdown A to return to the top of the Mixed Division One by a two point margin following a 7-2 victory over bottom side Waverley B.

Viking B are now third in Mixed Division Two after a 8-1 win over Phoenix B who remain second from bottom.
