FOLLOWING a successful start to the year, Bluewave were delighted to continue their achievements with a 100 per cent pass rate at the Taekwondo Chungdokwan GB Black Belt grading in London.

Three members of Bluewave Ellen Farthing, Olwen Barton and Corey Payne attended the Taekwondo Chungdokwan Great Britain Black Belt grading and all should be proud of their performances.

For each of them this was the final part of many months of intense preparation both within the club and at national training events.

They all showed quality performances across all the disciplines of Taekwondo - something that Bluewave looks to achieve.

They underwent a rigorous test of all aspects of their Taekwondo covering the traditional martial arts aspects, self defence and the Olympic style of sparring under the watchful eyes of the Taekwondo Chungdokwan GB Dan Grading Panel consisting of the Senior Masters of TCGB.

The club was delighted with the achievements of the students.

This was a reflection of the hard work and preparation of the members and their Instructors and showed that their standard was up with the best in the country.

The following well deserved promotions were achieved, Farthing and Barton have both become 1st Dans and Payne is now a second dan.
