OASIS Twirlstars from Basingstoke travelled with the rest of the England Team to Porec, Croatia and returned as European Baton Twirling champions.

The Oasis baton twirling team was founded in 1989 and have since won numerous national and international success.

They have represented England on the European and World stage for 26 consecutive years since 1992.

Oasis Junior Twirl Team beat seven other countries to be crowned European Champions, an accolade last achieved by England in 1997.

Along with this they achieved a third place in the Twirling Corp, of which consisted of 22 athletes.

There was also individual success for the team members as they achieved six top six places.

Georgia Langston was crowned Pre-Teen 2 Baton European champion and was also picked up a bronze medal in the Pre-Teen Solo as well as coming fourth in the Pre-Teen Rhythmic Twirl .

Bethany Flynn and Keira Etherington won bronze in the Juvenile Duet.

Flynn was also sixth in the Juvenile X-Strut and Jessica Hughes came fourth in the Junior Solo.
