BASINGSTOKE Hockey Club men were denied victory by a final minute equaliser by visiting Haslemere.
The home side went 1-0 up as Grant Rouse as he turned in a Graham Lang short corner drag.
Haslemere responded early in the second half before Dean Record made it 2-1 after a breakaway.
Basingstoke were looking comfortable until Record made a rash challenge inside the 23, which gave Haslemere a penalty corner on the final whistle which they scored from.
The seconds felt they had the edge over Aldershot and Farnham overall despite the opposition having a couple of quality players, but went down 1-0 to a short corner in the last two minutes.
The thirds won 5-3 at home to Blandford and Sturminster despite conceding in the first minute to a short corner strike and another three minutes later.
Mid-way through the half, Basingstoke got into the game and went up 3-2 at half time via Clinton Douglas (2) and Dan Holding.
Blandford equalised in the second half, but thanks to Holding's second and John-Paul Vout the thirds secured the points.
The fourths drew 1-1 while fifths lost 3-1 to Haslemere as Sam Lloyd scored.
The ladies travelled to Brighton, but despite many chances at both ends it ended 0-0 with Basingstoke goalkeeper Gemma Carswell in outstanding form.
The second team came back with a point from Yateley, following a 2-2 draw.
Sarah Mainprise-Tait equalised from a short corner and then Leah Redding finished off a great team move to make it 2-1.
Goalkeeper Nicky Ball was then sent off for a deliberate foul and Yateley fired home the resulting penalty corner to secure a point.
The third team lost 1-0 in a tight game, while the fourths won 1-0 at Hamble, Helen Hornsby slotting a short corner rebound to leave them top of the league.
The fifths won 4-3 at home to Yateley. They led 2-0 through goals from Philippa Spicer and Shelley Rounding.
Gill Lloyd and Karen Binney added two more to make 4-2 at half-time.
Yateley added a third, but it was not enough.
