FOUR swimmers from the Basingstoke Bluefins will be travelling to the National Championships to be held in Sheffield this weekend.

The quartet in action will be Molly Goffin, Charlyne LeBosse, Millie Trist and Mitchell Coombes.

Both Goffin and Coombes have attended previous nationals, so are well aware of the high standard of racing they face. Goffin narrowly missed qualifying for a final last year a and Coombes has already competed at the British Championships, so both are hugely capable of mixing it with the best in the 200 metres breaststroke event.

LeBosse and Trist will be competing at their first nationals, after success at county and regional level one.

LeBosse will be competing in the 100 metres butterfly and Millie Trist in the 200 metres breaststroke.

Sam Irvine, who trains at Millfield School in Somerset, but remains a member of the Bluefins, his home club.

Everyone swam exceptionally well, taking gold in the 4 x 25m relay and producing numerous personal bests.
