KINTBURY won their first ever Basingstoke and District Tennis League Men’s Division One title on sets won from Andover A, with Kingsclere A a further point back.

In their final matches new champions Kintbury drew with Kingsclere A and beat RSF A 5-3 and Winchester 8-0. Andover A secured a draw at Kingsclere in their final match to take the runners up spot.

RSF A beat Winchester 5-3, while Old Basing A beat Andover B 8-0 thanks to their team of James Chamberlain/Jamie Thomas and Andrew Mountford/Phil Dixon. They also drew with RSF A.

In Division Two, Goodworth Clatford won the title from Hampshire Court A on sets won.

Goodworth won their final three matches over Overton 7-1, Odiham 8-0 and Aldermaston 6-2.

Beechdown A beat Preston Candover 7-1 with Chris Ball/Tim Williams being unbeaten.

Steve Bristow/Dave Bull won all their sets for Aldermaston in a 6-2 win against Odiham. Preston Candover beat Overton 5-3.

Odiham B won the Division Three title after a draw with Oakley A and a 5-3 win at BDH. Sam Brill/Kelvin Wilcox won all their sets for Oakley.

Waverley B won 5-3 at Old Basing B thanks to a maximum from John McKay/Tim Clist and then beat Hampshire Court B 8-0 to secure the runners-up position.

Oakley A also won 8-0 against Hampshire Court drew against Mortimer A and won 6-2 at Waverley A.

Harvey Loake/Brad Shaw and David Mountford/Charles Robertson made up the Old Basing B team who won 8-0 against Hampshire Court and they also drew with BDH.

Kingsclere B beat Mortimer A 7-1 and BDH won 5-3 at Mortimer.

Totally Tennis B had already secured the Division Four title before winning their final match 6-2 against their C team.

Beechdown B beat Sherborne 8-0 to finish second. Oakley B won 6-2 at Sherborne and a maximum from Paul Saunders/Mike Chapman gave Sherborne a 5-3 win at Beechdown C and they finished with an 8-0 success at Hartley Wintney. Daryl Blair/Keith Longman were unbeaten for Beechdown C in their 6-2 win at Hartley Wintney.
