Loddon Vale suffer two friendly losses
LODDON Vale suffered two losses in the friendlies they played last weekend.
The first defeat was in their annual encounter against the visiting London Welsh 159-146.
The winning rinks were skipped by Steve Shaw (29-11), Chris Newin (27-14), John Hilton (21-20) and Sheila Girle (20-19).
Losing rinks were Margaret Coutts (26-11), Derek Baylis (22-10) and Tina Rogers (27-8) and Sheila Stone drew 20-20.
On Sunday the club travelled the short distance to Winchester to face local rivals Riverside and lost 1116-103.
The Vale's winning rinks were skipped by Ian Laming (23-9) and Mick Jones (21-19).
The losing rinks were Steve Foyle (23-14), Mikey O’Neil (23-13), Jim Rainbow (26-16) and Judy Foyle drew 16-16.
