OVERTON Black Arrows Archery Club’s Bill Jones was crowned county champion at the Hampshire Archery Association Field Archery Championships.
The tournament was staged at The Warren, Kingsclere, renowned for its degree of difficulty.
Jones shot a 24 target unmarked distance round on the first day, attaining a score of 285.
On the second day, he shot a marked distance round and achieved a score of 232.
That gave him a score of 517 points and he took the Hampshire Championship in the Barebow class, which is shooting without sights.
