LITTLETON’S stay at the top of the Whitchurch Bowls League Division One came to an abrupt end as they lost 62-54 away at Oakley A, writes NORMAN FIGG.
Kingsclere Quails won 54-30 at Whitchurch Yellows and lead the way, with Howard Park A second after a 55-50 win away at Hyde Abbey A.
Andover B beat Marnell Blues 63-38 on their own green, while St Mary Bourne prop up the division after losing 49-43 to Town Spades.
Andover A look to be heading back to Division 1 following a 52-33 win over Hook Hares.
Whitchurch Blacks suffered a 59-46 defeat at Old Basing Cavaliers, slipping to second in Division 2. Town Diamonds remain third after beating St Mary Bourne Eagles 58-35.
The only other match saw Alton beat Oakley B 55-45.
In Division 3, Littleton Lemurs, Hyde Abbey B and Town Jokers hold the top three positions, but only five-and-a-half points cover the top six teams.
Kingsclere Partridges beat Oakley C 53-49, Jokers lost 52-48 at Friary, Lemurs beat Howard Park C 54-49 and Hook Foxes beat Andover C 55-44.
In Division 4, Marnell thrashed Kingsclere Pheasants 72-34, Blues beat Old Basing Royalists 52-41, Roundheads beat Howard Park B 56-36 and Oakley D beat St Mary Bourne Merlins 43-28.
Unbeaten Town head Basingstoke and District Bowls League Division 1 following a 57-49 win over Alton Social.
Oakley are second after a 85-40 win over Alton and Kingsclere sit third after winning 63-58 at Howard Park. Old Basing edged out St Mary Bourne, winning 56-55.
In Division 2, Whitchurch beat Kingsclere B 68-52. Andover recorded a 64-37 win over Town B and Hook thumped Thornycroft 75-45.
Loddon Vale beat West Berks 117-108 in a friendly.
