FOR more than 50 years, Hackwood Park has staged the Easter Monday point-to-point races for the Vine and Craven hunt.
Entries this time total 67, but there will be more to entertain the expected bumper crowd than the six races over fences. Starting at noon, there are two scurries for children on their ponies to start proceedings.
Clerk of the course Bill Welling reports the track as in perfect condition.
Harwoods of Pulborough sponsor the day once again and there will be bookmakers, trade stands, catering outlets and children’s entertainment.
Car parking is priced at £30 and £40, with a reserve enclosure at £50.
