BASINGSTOKE Bluefins continued their recent good form when they travelled to the Swindon Dolphins Level Three meet, picking up a total of 29 gold medals, 21 silver and 14 bronze.

Top performers were Alfie Evans, with eight gold medals and a bronze, while Amelia Trist collected five golds.

Julia Lebosse picked up a golden hat-trick and also gained a regional qualification time in the 200m breaststroke.

There were also two golds each for Will Sadler, Maddie Deadman, Rebecca Johnston and Sophie Graham, while Rachel Gatfield, Charlyne Lebosse, Aemilia Rugman, Megan Barker and Harry Deller-Merricks achieved a gold medal apiece.

In other club news, five Bluefin swimmers took part ASA Zonal Championships South Level One at the London Aquatics Centre.

David McElvenny, Finlay Evans, Mairead Barker, Mitchell Coombes and Oliver Waldram competed against the best swimmers from the south of England.

Coombes picked up a bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke as well as making the final of the 100m breaststroke.

Barker and Waldram made the finals of the women’s and men’s 200m breaststroke respectively.
