WHAT appeared on paper to be a tricky assignment at Greenacre proved to be the case as Bounty Squash Club won 3-2 to remain unbeaten in the Berkshire League Premier Division.
After a long injury lay off, Bounty’s Stu Purdy made his first appearance of the season at number five against Neil Osborne. He put up a brave fight, but lost 3-1.
Bounty first string, England's under-17 number one Kyle Finch, put on a demonstration of mature match play to beat Adam Giles 3-1. Bounty second string Ben Thornton worked hard to gain the ascendancy over Steve Dodridge as he won 3-1.
Bounty fourth player Cameron Ward endured a frustrating night against Steve Brackley, losing 3-2. So the match all came down to third string team captain Stu Summers. It proved to be an epic battle against Ben Burbank, which Summers won 3-2.
The result left Bounty second in the table.
