TADLEY Calleva suffered a penalty shoot-out heartache as the underdogs gave Premier Division outfit Team Solent a real fright in the quarter-finals of the Wessex League Cup.
The holders had goalkeeper Bradley Banda to thank as they won on penalties 4-1 as Tadley's Shaun Dallimore and Sam Hamilton were denied.
Solent took the lead after just five minutes, but Tadley hit back with 10 minutes remaining when James Tennant headed home Sam Hamilton’s corner.
Tadley almost won it at the end of normal time when Brett Denham battled through one-on-one, but the Gibraltar under-19 international denied him with a crucial stop.
Tadley return to league action on Saturday with a game in the Wessex League Division One at AFC Stoneham.
