TADLEY Calleva extended their unbeaten Wessex League Division One run to 10 games with a 3-1 victory at Pewsey Vale.

The home side had the better of the opening 20 minutes and took the lead, but Tadley drew level thanks to a wonder goal from James Tennant with an over kick from inside the area.

From then on the visitors took control as captain Scott Kinge had a great game and Brett Denham scored two one-on-ones to make sure of the victory.

Denham was then replaced by teenager Dave Panter and he won a penalty and with the last kick of the game Mario Nurse smashed the spot kick against the bar.

Both Panter and another teenager Farai Maswaya had excellent games up front for the team.

Tadley face a stiff test on Saturday when they travel to leaders Portland and manager Danny Dolan said: "We know they are a strong physical side and we play well against the better teams, so I am looking forward to going there."
